Motorcyclist, 19, hit rear of bus in Lim Chu Kang, impact caught on camera, bus driver, 58, arrested
The bus driver was arrested for careless driving causing grievous hurt.
A bus driver was arrested following a collision with a motorcycle along Lim Chu Kang Road in the early hours of Jun. 5.
The 19-year-old motorcyclist was sent to the hospital unconscious.
The police told Mothership they were alerted to the accident at around 2am.
The collision
Footage of the accident shared on Facebook showed several motorcycles appearing to be riding at high speed down an empty stretch of the road.
They did not stop when a white bus emerged out of the side road.
Two motorcycles managed to ride past the front of the bus, while another went around its rear.
However, a fourth motorcycle crashed into the back of the bus.
In the aftermath, a man in a helmet was lying on the road surrounded by people.
Paramedics arrived and attended to a person on the ground.
The motorcycle was shattered.
The police said the 58-year-old bus driver was arrested for careless driving causing grievous hurt.
Investigations are ongoing.
