Ex-actor, Ian Fang, 35, pleads guilty to having sex with underage girl, who was 15 at the time
Jailed 40 months.

Former Mediacorp artiste Ian Fang pleaded guilty on May 19 to having sex with a girl before she turned 16, 8world reported.
He was sentenced to 40 months' jail for sexual offences with a minor, CNA reported.
He pleaded guilty to three counts of sexually penetrating an underage girl.
Five other charges were taken into account during sentencing.
They included sexual penetration of an underage girl, harassment and obstructing the course of justice.
Fang was 34 when the pair met at an entertainment event in May 2024.
At the time of the offences, Fang was an acting teacher with a child modelling school with students aged four to 14, CNA added.
The 35-year-old former actor, whose name is Fang Wei Jie, faced a total of eight charges, six of which were for having had sex with the 15-year-old girl on five days between Jun. 6 and 20, 2024.
The locations of the sexual assaults included the Marina Bay Sands hotel, Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, and his home, it was previously reported.
Fang also faces a charge of obstructing justice, as he was accused of contacting the girl in August 2024, and instructing her to cry in front of her mother and beg her not to let him go to jail and not to sue him.
He was also accused of stalking the girl by calling her 18 times within a day on Sep. 22, sending her a WhatsApp message and logging into her virtual room on the Quan Min K Ge, a karaoke app on Sep. 26 and 27, which violated the Protection from Harassment Act (POHA).
Fang was with Mediacorp until May 2023.
Identity unmasked
Fang's identity was previously not revealed, but the prosecution applied to have his identity disclosed.
The judge approved the application and lifted the gag order.
He said he would respect the wishes of the victim and her family to reveal his identity, The Straits Times reported.
Fang's lawyer opposed to this, saying that at least 30 people have seen Fang and the victim socially at events, adding that it is not known how being identified will impact the victim, CNA reported.
Fang's identity was made public for the first time since he was charged in January 2025.
The victim's identity is still protected via a gag order.
Fang is from China and is currently a Singapore permanent resident.
He appeared in court in a black mask.
When the judge said the media could reveal his identity, he appeared to look up and down from time to time, looking a little uneasy, 8world observed.
He will begin his sentence to Jun. 16.
