A fire broke out at Block 422 Clementi Avenue 1 on May 20, 2025.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SDCF) confirmed with Mothership that they were alerted to the fire at about 2:35pm.
The fire involved contents of a bedroom in a unit on the fourth floor, SCDF said.
SCDF conducted forcible entry into the unit and extinguished the fire using a water jet.
20 people from the affected block were evacuated by the SCDF and police as a precautionary measure, they added.
There were no reported injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Black smoke billowing from the affected unit could be seen in pictures sent by nearby residents.
