Gates' 2-day trip to Singapore

Gates' visit to the hawker centre wraps up his two-day visit in Singapore, which includes meetings with Singapore leaders and various speaking engagements.

On May 5, he announced at the Philanthropy Asia Summit 2025, which was held at Marina Bay Sands, that the Gates Foundation, a non-profit organisation he chairs, will open an office in Singapore.

The organisation's establishment of presence in Singapore was supported by the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB).

On the same day, Gates also met with Prime Minister Lawrence Wong, as well as Senior Ministers Lee Hsien Loong and Teo Chee Hean.
