Many users took to MyRepublic's Facebook page to complain about being unable to access the internet and seek updates.

As of 4pm on Mar. 2, some users still faced issues with their internet connection.

Mothership understands that some customers have had their connection restored.

As of 4:30pm, MyRepublic's network status page states that there are "known issues" with their broadband, home and business voice services.

Disruption lasted 36 minutes

In response to Mothership's queries, MyRepublic’s consumer vice-president Terry Williams said MyRepublic Singapore experienced a brief fibre broadband service disruption at 12:30am on Mar. 2 due to network maintenance by a third-party provider.

"The disruption lasted 36 minutes, but some customers may have been affected longer as they needed to restart their modems to restore connectivity," Williams said.
