Man, 76, dies in road accident at Holland Village, minibus driver, 74, arrested

A 76-year-old man died in an accident at Holland Village on Mar. 26, 2025.

According to the Singapore Police Force, it was alerted to an accident involving a minibus and a pedestrian along Holland Avenue at around 6:50am.

A 76-year-old male pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene by a Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) paramedic.

The minibus driver, a 74-year-old male, was arrested for allegedly driving without due care and attention causing death.

Police investigations are ongoing.

A Facebook post on Mar. 26 shared a photo of the incident along Holland Avenue.

A blue tent could be seen on the road.

There were at least three police cars at the scene, and the road appeared jammed.

ACS International School, which is located near Holland Avenue, posted an update on Facebook advising its students and parents to avoid driving through the centre of Holland Village.

In response to Mothership's queries, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) was alerted to a road traffic incident along Holland Avenue at around 6:50am.

A person was pronounced dead at the scene by an SCDF paramedic.
