M'sia couple, 65 & 73, assisting police investigations after car runs over lorry driver in Kajang
The lorry driver's mother said her son couldn't move after being hit by the car.
An elderly couple, aged 65 and 73, rammed into a lorry driver at around 11:30am on Feb. 28 after the latter appeared to have not given way on the road in Kajang, Malaysia.
The 42-year-old truck driver's mother called the police that afternoon and said her son was unable to move after being hit by a car.
The mother rushed to the scene, and the driver was sent to the hospital for further treatment.
The couple was arrested at around 11:15pm on the same day.
What happened
Dashcam footage showed the lorry blocking the path of a black car.
As the car attempted to turn left to overtake the lorry, the lorry appeared to mirror the car's movement to block it.
The driver then can be seen getting out of the lorry and walking towards the black car.

The lorry driver appeared to approach the car in an attempt to confront the car's driver.
However, the car suddenly rammed into the lorry driver.
The car then drives off.
Couple being investigated for attempted murder and reckless driving
The Kajang District Police Chief confirmed on Mar. 3 that they received a report from the driver's 63-year-old mother about the incident around 12pm on Feb. 28.
The couple is being investigated forĀ attempted murder and reckless driving.
If convicted, they may be sentenced to up to 20 years in jail for attempted murder.
They could also face up to six months in jail, a maximum fine of RM2,000 (S$600), or both for reckless driving.
