K-pop agency SM Entertainment to open training academy at *SCAPE in June 2025

South Korean entertainment company, SM Entertainment will launch Southeast Asia's first K-pop training academy, SM Universe, in Singapore.
The academy, a subsidiary of SM Entertainment, will be located at *SCAPE and will open in June 2025
Flagship programme
The academy will offer a flagship 21-week intensive training programme for students to develop their vocals, dance, music production, and stage presence.
The programme will culminate with a week of training at Seoul's SM Universe campus.
In Seoul, the students will get the chance to audition with South Korean entertainment agencies.
The 21-week training program will cost about US$10,000 (about S$13,500), but the academy will award scholarships to those considered to have high potential.

SM Entertainment's K-pop groups
SM Entertainment has formed many K-pop groups including Aespa, Girls' Generation, Red Velvet, Riize and NCT.
The latest group to debut under SM Entertainment is Hearts2Hearts which released their debut song "The Chase" on Feb. 24, 2025.
