He doesn't like paper straws.

U.S. President Donald Trump announced that he is signing an executive order to bring back plastic straws.
In a Truth Social post, Trump said he would end the "ridiculous" push for paper straws that "don't work".

In July 2024, the Biden Administration announced its goal of phasing out single-use plastics, including straws, from government food service operations, events and packaging by 2027 and all federal operations by 2035.
Trump has expressed his displeasure with paper straws before.
"They want to ban straws. Has anybody ever tried those paper straws? They're not working too good," he previously said during a campaign rally in the 2020 election.
The latest announcement comes after Trump signed an executive order withdrawing the U.S. from the Paris Agreement, a climate change treaty that aims to keep the global temperature increase to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels.
