Season 2 of Culinary Class Wars airing in 2025 with both fan-favourite judges returning
Cooking up a storm once again.
Netflix has confirmed season two of their hit cooking competition "Culinary Class Wars" will air in 2025, "before the year comes to a close".
It was announced during the Next On Netflix 2025 Korea event on Feb. 4, 2025.

Netflix had previously announced on Oct 15. 2024 the production of season 2 was in progress.
This was after the first season became the first Korean unscripted title to go No. 1 on the Global Top 10 TV (Non-English) list for three consecutive weeks.
Returning judges

The two judges from season one, Anh Sunjae and Paik Jongwon, are also returning for the new season.
The duo earned plaudits for their chemistry and wit on the show.
Animations of the judges, inspired by clips from the show, by animator @odolgae_studio even went viral.
Paik Jongwon

Paik Jongwon, 59, is a household name in South Korea.
He owns several food chains across South Korea such as Paik's Noodles and Paik's Coffee, both which can be found in Singapore as well.
He has also hosted other cooking shows like "Baek Jong Won's Alley Restaurant", "The Backpacker Chef", and "Chef Paik & Les Miserables."
Anh Sungjae
Anh Sungjae, 43, is the chef and owner of Korea's only three-Michelin-starred restaurant, Mosu.
The Seoul branch however temporarily closed in 2024, but is expected to reopen at a new location this year.
He was also awarded the Inedit Damm Chefs’ Choice Award 2024 by Asia's 50 Best Restaurants.

Culinary Class Wars

"Culinary Class Wars" is a cooking competition featuring 100 people.
Participants are divided into two groups: the White Spoons, which consists of elite chefs who have already made a name for themselves, and the Black Spoons, underdogs known only by their nicknames until they achieve recognition.

The multi-round elimination contest has the chefs competing in different original cooking challenges.
Last season, the last chef standing won a cool 300 million Korean won (S$290,000).
