Singapore prata shop Prata Wala announced that it has permanently closed its outlets in Singapore.
The shop announced its closure on Feb. 18 with "a heavy heart".
"We want to extend our deepest thanks to you for the support, over the years. Serving you has been a true privilege."
Prata Wala had four outlets in Singapore: one at Jurong Point, one at Chinatown Point, one at Northpoint and a food court stall at Coastal Playgrove.
A check on Google revealed that three of the four outlets (except for Chinatown) are indicated as "permanently closed."
Prata Wala Chinatown Point shared with Mothership that it will be rebranded in the coming weeks.
The Chinatown Point outlet will be renamed Makan Prata and will be operated by the same team.
"We are hoping with the name change, locals will be able to relate more with this," said the operator of the Chinatown Point outlet.
Prata Wala was founded back in 2013 by a Chinese Singaporean named Joseph Lee.
It is part of the First Gourmet group that also manages Zaffron Kitch and Pavilion Banana Leaf.
