Family of late actor Moses Lim creates AI farewell message with help from Jack Neo
To hear his familiar voice one last time.

As a tribute to late Singaporean actor and comedian Moses Lim, a video of the man saying farewell one last time was created — with the use of artificial intelligence (AI).
Lim's family, who posted the tribute on Facebook on Feb. 15, explained that it had been lovingly put together by Lim's friends using AI technology, in respect to his memory.
The family also thanked film director Jack Neo for "helping make this tribute possible".
They added that Lim's voice in the video is digitally-generated but "the sentiments and spirit are genuinely from the heart".
The video
The clip showed Lim's likeness addressing viewers in Mandarin.
"I’m so grateful that in this life I could meet so many good friends, be part of a loving family and have so many precious memories. Thank you everyone for your support and care, which has made my life even more wonderful," said Lim.
Lim also encouraged viewers to treasure those by their side, spread love to others and live a fulfilling life.
"I wish you peace, joy and abundant happiness. Goodbye, and may God bless you all."
The video ended with snippets from Lim's television scenes throughout his career.
Sharing his familiar voice "one final time"
Lim's family hoped the video would help viewers remember Lim for "the laughter and love he brought to all of our lives".
"While we know this AI-generated message can never truly replace his presence, his adventurous spirit would have been delighted in using technology in such a meaningful way. It gives us comfort to share his familiar voice and infectious spirit with you one final time.
In the post, Lim's family honoured Lim as a devoted father, husband, and grandfather, as well as "a cherished part of Singapore's heart".
"We were blessed to share him with the nation, watching as he touched countless lives with his distinctive humour and boundless kindness. Each laugh he sparked, each smile he inspired, added another thread to the vibrant tapestry of our shared memories," the post read.
Lim and Neo
Apart from famously starring in "Under One Roof", Lim had also worked with Neo on Chinese variety show "Comedy Night".
Following Lim's passing on Feb. 11, Neo had reminisced in a Facebook tribute on moments working with Lim on the show.
"I thank you for the days when we created 'Comedy Night' together. We started as strangers, met by chance and eventually became the best partners. You were one of the most precious people in my life," Neo wrote.
Neo concluded his post by telling Lim he could finally rest.
