4 modified PMDs seized by LTA after youths seen riding on Punggol roads
First-time offenders face fines up to S$2,000 and/or three months imprisonment.

Four modified and non-compliant mobility devices were impounded following a public tip-off on Feb. 3, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) announced on Telegram.
According to the tip-off, a group of youths were seen riding them on the roads at Punggol.
Images by LTA showed that the mobility devices appeared to look like motorbikes.

LTA added that in 2024, it detected 132 instances of personal mobility devices (PMDs) being illegally used on roads.
It also issued a reminder to users of mobility devices to follow prevailing rules and regulations.
First-time offenders face fines of up to S$2,000 and/or three months imprisonment. Non-compliant devices will also be impounded.
