The CNB seized about 453g of heroin, 132g of ‘ice’, 10g of cannabis, and 5 Erimin-5 tablets.

They also seized cash in various currencies, recovering S$6,097.30, 75 RM (S$22.72), 15,000 Indonesian Rupiah (S$1.24), and 20,000 Vietnamese Dong (S$1.05).

Also on Feb. 11, CNB arrested a 39-year-old Singaporean man on suspicion of drug trafficking, near Rivervale Crescent.

The operation to arrest him also nabbed around 85g of ‘ice’, six grams of ketamine, 14 Erimin-5 tablets, 232 Ecstasy tablets, and around S$1,044 in cash.

A Feb. 13 operation resulted in the arrest of a 28-year-old man and the recovery of drug paraphernalia and plant parts that were believed to be part of a cannabis plant.

14-year-old arrested

CNB also reported that the youngest person arrested in the series of drug operations was a 14-year-old girl for suspected drug abuse.

This comes after a Feb. 12 press release by CNB revealed that the youngest drug abuser arrested in Singapore in 2024 was a 13-year-old.

CNB warned that under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1973, "cannabis" referred to any part of the plant of the genus Cannabis, regardless of what name the plant part might be called.

Under Section 8(a) of the Misuse of Drugs Act, it is considered an offence for a person to have in their possession any part of the Cannabis plant.

Possession of cannabis, where the quantity is less than 330g, may result in a sentence of up to 10 years imprisonment, a S$20,000 fine, or both.

Investigations into all arrested suspects are ongoing.
