BMW convertible on fire along SLE believed to have self-skidded, woman, 26, assisting with investigations

A BMW convertible was engulfed in flames after it apparently self-skidded along Seletar Expressway (SLE).
The incident occurred on Jun. 1 at about 8:15am along the SLE towards the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE), before the Lentor Avenue exit.
In videos circulating online, the car was seen in flames.
Debris and skid marks were visible on the road.
Emergency vehicles were also seen.
The vehicle was believed to have hit a section of railings before bursting into flames.
The Singapore Police Force said the car was believed to have self-skidded along the SLE.
A 26-year-old female driver is assisting with police investigations.
Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) firefighters extinguished the blaze with a water jet.
A 34-year-old male car passenger was taken conscious to Sengkang General Hospital.
Police investigations are ongoing.
