A woman from Singapore is said to have won a whopping RM31.9 million (S$10.3 million) jackpot at the Resorts World Genting casino on May 21.

According to Malaysia's China Press, it was the highest recorded slot machine jackpot in the casino's history.

The publication cited online reports from netizens saying that around 2pm that day, a woman from Singapore known as "Old Auntie" allegedly scored on a Dragon Link slot machine at the casino.

A user on Facebook posting about the jackpot shared that he had heard it was won by a woman from Singapore, apparently with a bet of RM40 (S$13).

Commenters reacted in awe, saying that she was very lucky.

Jackpot amount had been growing

There are roughly 30 Dragon Link slot machines in the casino.

The particular machine in question reached a jackpot of RM 12 million (S$3.88 million) the previous year and has thus been drawing many bettors, according to China Press.

The maximum bet possible at the machine at one time is reportedly RM 880 (S$284).

As a jackpot reward exceeding RM10 million (S$3.2 million) has been rare at the casino, the winnings this time have caught much attention online.
