A 48-year-old Singaporean man was found dead in a Hong Kong flat on Apr. 30 after his colleagues raised concerns over his absence from work without notice.
According to The Standard, the Singaporean man held a Hong Kong identity card and had a history of health issues.
The man's colleagues visited his residence to check on him after he failed to show up for work on Apr. 29, fearing he had collapsed in his unit, Dim Sum Daily reported.
His colleagues then alerted the Hong Kong authorities, and firefighters forced entry into the unit.
Officers were called to the flat at Primrose Hill on Kwok Shui Road in Tai Wo Hau, in Hong Kong's New Territories, shortly before noon.
The man was confirmed dead at the scene, and his cause of death will be determined after an autopsy is conducted.
