Rainforest Wild Adventure will soft-open its second phase to the public from May 20, 2026, ahead of its grand opening later in the month.

In a media release on May 6, the Mandai Wildlife Group said the park, previously known as Rainforest Wild Asia and Africa, will be Asia's first adventure-based wildlife park.

With the park's new addition in the east, guests can explore 20 hectares of habitats inspired by the rainforests of Asia and Africa.

The endangered Okapi will also be making its Southeast Asia debut at Rainforest Wild Adventure East.

A single park ticket includes entry to both the east and west zones, and all ticket holders will enjoy access to selected Adventure+ activities.

Adventure+ and Black Adventure activities

According to the media release, visitors can choose their own level of exploration at Rainforest Wild Adventure.

From accessible activities under Adventure+ to intense thrill-seeker experiences under Black Adventure.

The expansion brings the park's total number of Adventure+ activities to nine across both zones.

In the new Rainforest Wild East expansion, guests can ride on the Canopy Glider or soar eight metres above ground and plunge on the Ravine Swing.

Other higher intensity activities include the Split Rock Summit and Primate Climb, both of which are 11-metre-high climbs and the Treetop Traverse, a 125-metre harnessed course through the treetops.

Black adventure activities at Rainforest Wild Adventure West include guided high-element experiences, including ascending a karst rock face and a simulated cave expedition.

There will also be wide walkways and forest treks through the habitats on foot, suitable for families with strollers and wheelchair users.

Endangered okapi's Southeast Asia debut

According to the media release, Rainforest Wild Adventure East spans seven hectares and is inspired by Afro-tropical and Madagascan landscapes.

The okapi, an endangered species from Congo that is the giraffe's closest living relative, will be making its Southeast Asia debut.

Rainforest Wild Adventure is home to four okapis, comprising two pairs from Europe who were recommended for breeding under a coordinated conservation initiative.

Guests may also encounter animals like the pygmy hippo, eastern bongo, red river hog and Nile lechwe, while a Madagascan landscaped multi-species habitat includes lemurs, turacos, and ibises.

National Geographic collaboration

To mark the soft opening, Mandai Wildlife Group has teamed up with The Walt Disney Company Southeast Asia to launch National Geographic Pop-Ups in Singapore for the first time.

The retail shops in the east and west zones will feature National Geographic-themed spaces and apparel.
