Residents of 436A Northshore Drive recently experienced intermittent water disruption caused by faulty components within the water pump system serving the block, the Punggol Town Council found after investigations.
According to a Mothership reader living there, the disruptions happened three times in the past six months.
It first happened at around 11pm on Nov. 27, 2025, then again around midnight on April. 21, 2026, and most recently in the morning of May 1.
Residents staying on the higher floors of the block did not have water access, the Mothership reader said. Some of them went downstairs to get water from neighbours on the lower floors.
In a video, water was flowing intermittently and weakly from a tap said to be from a resident's house.

Repairs
The incident was isolated to Block 436A, with no impact on surrounding blocks, the Punggol Town Council told Mothership.
They said that upon receiving feedback about the water disruption on May 1, the matter was promptly attended to, and water supply was restored within two hours.
The Mothership reader shared that water was being progressively restored in the block as of 12:23pm on May 1.
They expressed concern about the water pump system's faults, as the BTO flat was completed less than three years before in 2024.
The town council said that the necessary repairs and component replacements for the water pump system have since been carried out.
As a precautionary measure, additional component replacement works are also being undertaken, and the system will continue to be closely monitored to prevent any recurrence.
