Secondary school student in Pasir Ris dashes across road despite red light, nearly gets hit by car
The driver managed to brake in time.

A female student, who appeared to be from Hai Sing Catholic School in Pasir Ris, narrowly escaped injury after running across a crossing despite the traffic light for the cars being green, nearly colliding with an oncoming vehicle.
Dashcam footage of the incident has since been uploaded to the Facebook page SGRV Admin.
According to the post, the incident took place at 2:30pm on May 5 in the vicinity of Hai Sing Catholic School, along Pasir Ris Drive 6.
In the video, a car can be seen travelling along the road with a green traffic light ahead, when a girl in a Hai Sing Catholic School uniform suddenly dashes across the crossing without stopping.
Fortunately, the driver appears to have managed to brake in time.

The footage has since drawn mixed reactions online.
Some commenters criticised the student for jaywalking recklessly, while others questioned whether the car was going too fast. Others too praised the driver for braking in time.
