Elderly woman allegedly hit by car along Yishun Ring Road, witnesses saw pool of blood

An elderly woman was allegedly struck by a car along Yishun Ring Road at about 9am on May 23.
The incident came to public attention after photos of the accident were posted onto the Instagram page sgfollowsall.
The photos showed the woman lying motionless on the road, with a grocery trolley bag beside her and a silver car nearby.
According to Lianhe Zaobao, witnesses reported seeing a pool of blood on the road.
A man in a yellow singlet, who is believed to be the driver of the vehicle involved, was seen seated on the road divider.
Members of the public gathered at the scene, with some checking on the woman's condition and offering assistance.
In response to Mothership's queries, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) confirmed they were alerted to a road traffic accident along Yishun Ring Road.
They subsequently conveyed one person to Khoo Teck Phuat Hospital.
