Two people were taken to hospital following a multi-vehicle collision on the Pan-Island Expressway (PIE) on May 30.

In response to Mothership’s queries, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) and Singapore Police Force (SPF) were alerted to a road traffic accident along PIE towards Tuas before the Adam Road exit at about 8:20am.

In a statement, the police said the accident involved five cars and a motorcycle.

The police said a 41-year-old male motorcyclist and an 8-year-old male car passenger were conveyed conscious to the hospital.

The SCDF conveyed them to National University Hospital and to KK Women's and Children's Hospital respectively.

Two expressway lanes occupied

A video posted on TikTok showed the two right-most lanes of the expressway cordoned off.

Debris was seen scattered on the lanes.
