Manpower Minister Tan See Leng was greeted by the leader of the Workers' Party (WP), Pritam Singh during a ministerial community visit to meet Eunos residents on the morning of May 30.

In a Facebook post put up on the same day, Singh said he had dropped by the hawker centre at Block 630 Bedok Reservoir Road to meet the minister.

Singh noted that Tan was a fan of the famous Siglap kway chap stall that had shifted to the hawker centre not too long ago and that he went over to the food centre following the WP's monthly walk-to-bond activity.

Minister in Eunos together with grassroots adviser and PAP branch chair

According to Tan, he had been spending the morning in Eunos together with grassroots adviser Jagathishwaran Rajo, during which he participated in People's Association-led community activities, such as Chair Zumba and met members of the Eunos brisk walking club.

Jagathishwaran has served as branch chairman of the People's Action Party's Eunos division in Aljunied GRC since 2024.

He was also a PAP candidate for Aljunied GRC in the 2025 General Election.

In his own Facebook post, Jagathishwaran said the ministerial community visit was part of letting Tan learn more about the active ageing and environmental initiatives.

Apart from Chair Zumba and the briskwalking club, other initiatives launched by Eunos grassroots include the Green Fest to educate residents on recycling and environmental responsibility, and community arts initiatives to encourage the use of recycled materials.
