Telegram WhatsappA pair of women who allegedly stole some pants have been accused of stealing other items at a nearby unit.

Stomp reports on a pair of women who were seen on CCTV appearing to rummage through a shoe rack located outside an HDB flat, located at Hougang Avenue 9.

The incident was captured by a resident's front door camera on May 13, the same day a pair of similarly dressed women appeared to steal two pairs of Uniqlo pants that were hung to dry outside a nearby flat.

A video taken by the resident's door camera shows the two women approaching the common area via the staircase.

One woman is wearing a black sports bra and shorts, along with black socks and black slides, while the other is wearing a black T-shirt and white trousers and carrying a sling bag.

Eventually, the two pick a shoe cabinet, opening it up and squatting before it and appearing to rummage around inside.

The door camera footage is dated May 13, 2026, and the incident is time-stamped at around 5am.

From the footage, it is not clear whether anything was taken at that time.

Boots and slides

According to Stomp, the resident was reportedly packing for an overseas trip when they went to the shoe cabinet to find a pair of boots they owned.

However, upon searching for the boots, they realised they were missing, and they subsequently reviewed CCTV footage to check what had happened to the boots.

It was only then that they saw the pair taking the items.

The resident said that a pair of knee-high boots, three pairs of Charles & Keith sandals or slides, and two pairs of kitten heels had been taken during the incident.

The resident said that it was not the first time that shoes had disappeared from her shoe cabinet, commenting that over time she had lost as many as five pairs of Charles & Keith heels and two pairs of boots, worth approximately S$350.

She also believed that the women may have taken a pair of Pedro shoes that went missing at a previous time.

According to Stomp, the resident has since made a police report, and the police are reportedly investigating.

Pants thieves

But perhaps the most curious part of this is that the resident appears to have identified the woman as being very similarly dressed to a previously reported case.

On May 15, Mothership reported that two women had been filmed stealing two pairs of Uniqlo trousers from a common area.

A resident had placed two racks of clothing in the common area, and two women who were dressed identically to the women who had allegedly taken the shoes were recorded by a resident's CCTV camera.

In the footage, they could be seen walking past the unit and looking out over a nearby ledge before returning to the clothes rack, with one of the women squatting behind it and removing a pair of pants from it.

She would leave via the nearby staircase before returning later to steal a second pair of trousers.

That initial video was also time-stamped May 13, 2026, but was time-stamped at around 8:30am, suggesting that the initially reported incident actually took place a few hours after the shoe-stealing incident.
