Man allegedly stabs woman to death in Choa Chu Kang, he then jumps off 18th floor: Zaobao

A man allegedly stabbed a woman at Block 248 Choa Chu Kang Avenue 2, Lianhe Zaobao reported.

This reportedly occurred on the 12th floor of the block on May 26.

He then allegedly jumped off from the 18th floor.

The incident occurred at around 9pm.

The man and woman were reportedly a couple, and in their 20s, Zaobao reported.

Pictures from Zaobao showed a damaged garbage bin, which the man allegedly hit after falling.

The man was taken away in an ambulance.

The Straits Times, reporting on the ground at about 10pm, noted that police were seen speaking to a man and woman, both of whom looked distressed.

Responding to queries from Mothership, the Singapore Civil Defence Force said they were alerted to the incident at about 8:55pm.

A person was pronounced dead at the scene and another person was taken to the National University Hospital.
