A 47-year-old man will be charged in court on Apr. 22, 2026, for his suspected involvement in voluntarily causing hurt and mischief against a 33-year-old woman.

The Singapore Police Force (SPF) said in a press release that they received a report regarding the alleged assault on Feb. 11, 2026, at about 11:35am.

The incident occurred in the vicinity of 304 Orchard Road, where Lucky Plaza is, on Feb. 8, 2026.

The woman suffered injuries to various parts of her body and experienced bodily pain after allegedly being hit and kicked by the man.

During the incident, the man also allegedly damaged her personal property, SPF added.

A video of an altercation between a man and a woman at Lucky Plaza had earlier gone viral in February 2026.

Assaulted same woman previously

Preliminary investigations revealed that both parties were known to each other, and the man had assaulted the same woman on Mar. 30, 2025.

SPF said they issued a 12-month conditional warning to the man on May 8, 2025, for voluntarily causing hurt in this incident.

This was done in consultation with the Attorney-General’s Chambers (AGC), police said.

However, as the man breached this conditional warning by allegedly committing additional offences against the same victim during the recent incident on Feb. 8, he will be charged in court on Apr. 22, 2026, with two counts of voluntarily causing hurt and two counts of mischief in relation to both incidents.

The offence of voluntarily causing hurt carries an imprisonment term of up to three years, a fine of up to S$5000, or both.

The offence of mischief carries an imprisonment term of up to two years, or with a fine or with both.

"The police have zero tolerance towards such acts of violence and will take firm action towards those who blatantly disregard the law," SPF said.
