104 suspected drug offenders arrested across S'pore, over S$281,000 worth of drugs seized

A total of 104 suspected drug offenders were arrested by the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) in an islandwide anti-drug operation from Apr. 12 to 17, 2026, which saw over S$281,000 worth of drugs seized.

This includes 1,079g of "Ice", 793g of cannabis, 345g of heroin, 49g of "Ecstasy", 38g of cannabis product, 5g of ketamine, 10 GHB (gamma-hydroxybutyrate) tablets, four Erimin-5 tablets, and 10 e-vaporiser pods believed to contain etomidate.

Cash amounting to S$6,708 was also seized, an Apr. 17, 2026 CNB news release stated, adding that the heroin, "Ice" and cannabis seized could potentially feed the addiction of 894 abusers for a week.

Operation

Areas covered in the operation included Bendemeer, Clementi, Jurong West, Marine Parade, Telok Blangah and Yishun.

CNB officers raided a residential unit in the vicinity of Tampines Avenue 9 in the early morning of Apr. 14 and a search was conducted and a small amount of "Ice" and drug paraphernalia were seized.

Officers arrested a married Singaporean couple — the man was aged 41 and the woman was aged 36 — for suspected drug abuse.

Later the same morning, CNB officers, acting on information received, launched an operation at a shop in the vicinity of Bedok North.

This led to the arrest of a 40-year-old Singaporean woman for suspected drug trafficking offence.

Officers subsequently raided her residential unit in the vicinity of Tampines.

Searches were conducted at both premises, where a total of 52g of "Ice" and drug paraphernalia were seized from the lockers at her workplace and her residential unit.

Through follow-up investigations, CNB officers launched an operation in the vicinity of Bedok Reservoir View and arrested a 46-year-old Singaporean man, who is the husband of the 40-year-old Singaporean woman, for suspected drug trafficking offence.

Searches conducted

On the same day, following up from the operation at Bedok Reservoir View, CNB officers raided a residential unit in the vicinity of Compassvale Street in Sengkang, where a 30-year-old Singaporean man was arrested for suspected drug trafficking offence.

Various drug paraphernalia were seized from the unit.

On Apr. 14, CNB officers launched an operation in the vicinity of Prinsep Street and arrested a 34-year-old Singaporean man for suspected drug trafficking offences and a 32-year-old Singaporean woman for suspected drug abuse.

A search was conducted and a total of about 792g of "Ice", 326g of heroin, 49g of "Ecstasy" tablets and cash amounting to S$2,303.15 were seized from the man and his motorcycle.

Later the same day, CNB officers raided the man's hideout in the vicinity of Telok Blangah Rise, which led to the arrest of a 26-year-old Singaporean woman for suspected drug abuse.

Officers subsequently raided the man's residential unit in the vicinity of Yishun Avenue 1.

Searches were conducted at both premises, which saw a total of 42g of cannabis, 33g of "Ice", and two Erimin-5 tablets seized.

Penalties

Following the operation, investigations into the drug activities of all arrested suspects are ongoing.

If a person is found guilty of trafficking more than 15g of diamorphine or “pure heroin”, or more than 250g of methamphetamine, he or she may face the mandatory death penalty.
