Taiwanese actress, 49, turns to adult livestreaming to pay S$203,700 debt from friend's restaurant business

Taiwanese actress Lisa Wang, also known as Wang Li Ren, has turned to adult live streaming platforms to pay off her debts.
The former actress who starred in multiple television dramas in the early 2000s, including Spicy Teacher and Kangsi Lai Le, reported 8world.
Wang appeared on an adult entertainment platform broadcasting on the Apr. 25 and 26.
In revealing clothes, Wang spoke about her private life whilst participating in live-streaming sales.
Subscription revenue exceeds S$28,333 a month
According to ETtoday, in her first livestream on SWAG Entertainment, Wang wore lingerie and engaged in a massage session with a male actor.
In her second livestream, she launched a couples yoga teaching programme.
ETtoday reported that her monthly Instagram subscription revenue alone ranges from NT$700,000 (S$28,333) to NT$1.09 million (S$44,126).
This is based on a subscription fee of NT$450 (S$18) from about 2,426 subscribers.
Her Instagram features videos of her exercising.
Restaurant business resulted in S$203,700 debt
According to 8world, Wang had lent her name to a friend to open a Japanese restaurant.
However, the friend who was a chef absconded due to financial difficulties, and creditors filed a lawsuit against her.
Wang was left with a debt of around NT$5 million (S$203,700), according to 8World.
In response to criticisms about her decision to adult livestream, she said what she was doing was honest work, saying she doesn't rob or steal, and asked those with critical comments to keep it to themselves.
Wang is also a graduate of English from Barnard College, which is affiliated with Columbia University in the U.S., making her shift even more shocking to netizens.
