International art collective, teamLab, will open its flagship museum in Singapore as part of the expansion of Gardens by the Bay.

This was announced by the Minister of State for National Development, Alvin Tan, during the Committee of Supply Debate.

Gardens by the Bay will expand into the current Kingfisher Wetlands precinct, tripling its current size, and will feature more than 600 mangroves and coastal plants.

It will also feature a canopy boardwalk and a new dedicated community space.

Construction for Wetlands by the Bay is set to begin in the first quarter of 2027.

It is slated to open progressively by the end of 2028.

It will open in tandem with Bay East Garden.

Expansion

teamLab will debut a multi-sensory pedal kayak experience at its flagship museum, blending installations with natural landscapes.

A new cantilevered canopy boardwalk will be built to extend over Kingfisher Wetlands.

The boardwalk will also connect the Gardens by the Bay MRT station and other attractions within Bay South Garden.

A new community space, Glade Lawn, will serve as a dedicated area for events and community activities.
