Fuel companies in Singapore have been raising prices of petrol and diesel over the course of two weeks since Iran was attacked on Feb. 28, 2026.

The latest nudge upwards came on Mar. 12 after Sinopec raised prices of its 95-octane, 98-octane, and premium petrol by 4 cents to S$3.35, S$3.85, and S$3.98, respectively.

The price of diesel was increased by 7 cents to S$3.27.

These prices are about 8.6 per cent higher than before the Middle East conflict took place.

95-octane fuel prices

The Price Kaki app by the Consumer Association of Singapore (Case) showed that 95-octane petrol was S$3.30 at SPC and S$3.35 at Caltex, Shell, Esso and Sinopec.

95-octane petrol is widely used by motorists in Singapore.

The revisions in prices to all grades of petrol and diesel have been occurring almost on a daily basis, with a 4 cents to 30 cents increase per litre for 95-octane petrol over the past two days.

Sinopec: S$3.05 to S$3.35

SPC: S$3.14 to S$3.30

Shell: S$3.31 to S$3.35

Esso: S$3.31 to S$3.35

Caltex: S$3.15 to S$3.35

'Exercise restraint'

In response to Mothership's queries, Consumers Association of Singapore (Case) president Melvin Yong said on Mar. 11 that the consumer watchdog was "monitoring closely the recent increase in fuel pump prices".

Yong urged "fuel companies to exercise restraint in raising prices pre-emptively" as crude oil prices rise globally.

Vehicle owners can check the latest fuel prices on the Price Kaki app, Yong added.
