Masseuses at People’s Park Complex in Chinatown have raised eyebrows with their revealing outfits and antics.

Shin Min Daily News reported that some members of the public have complained about being solicited by these women at the mall.

Some claimed that the workers openly flirted with passers-by and, in some cases, even forcibly pulled men into the shops.

The Chinese media previously reported in November 2024 that the second and third floors of the complex had become a massage parlour district, with about 50 shops lining the floors.

Allegedly forced patron into shop

One man told the paper that he had been heading to the second floor of the complex to meet a friend when he was startled by the persistence of a masseuse.

He said the woman approached him and asked if he wanted a massage.

When he declined, she allegedly tried to force him into the shop, prompting him to “run away”.

The man said he was deeply displeased by the behaviour, describing it as "indecent".

“It’s outrageous that they’re openly and forcefully soliciting customers like this,” he said, questioning how the complex had become a place that “feels like a brothel”.

Grabbed arm to persuade patron

During a recent visit to the complex, a Shin Min reporter was also approached by a masseuse wearing revealing clothing, who asked him to patronise her shop.

She allegedly grabbed his arm and said the massage cost “only S$30”.

When the reporter refused, she reportedly became more aggressive, half-pulling and half-dragging him towards the shop.

According to the report, she then pressed her body against his arm and emphasised that the shop offered a “full-body massage”.

She also allegedly tried to close the shop door and pull the reporter into a curtained partition booth at the back.

The reporter left the scene immediately, Shin Min reported.
