2 new measles cases reported in S'pore, no cases in childcare centres or preschools: CDA
Doctors have referred a few cases of suspected measles to the CDA, out of precaution.
Two new cases of measles were recorded in Singapore in the first week of February 2026.
The Communicable Diseases Agency's (CDA) weekly infectious disease bulletin showed that two cases were detected for the week of Feb. 1 to 7.
The agency also said in a Feb. 13 statement that no cases of measles were reported at a childcare centre, disproving earlier online speculation.
CDA aware of false information circulating online
In its statement, CDA added that it is aware of false information circulating online about a measles case at a childcare centre.
The agency said that there are no confirmed cases at childcare centres or preschools in Singapore as of Feb. 12 at 12pm.
Doctors have also referred a few cases of suspected measles to the CDA, out of precaution.
CDA said: "We advise members of the public not to speculate and/or spread unfounded rumours, and to rely on official sources for health information."
