Lee Kong Chian's grandsons buy S$43.2 million bungalow & S$23.9 million Sentosa condo units
Big-ticket purchases.
Two grandsons of prominent Singaporean philanthropic businessman and OCBC's founding father Lee Kong Chian were noted to have recently bought a number of high-value properties.
Among them is a 15,783-square-foot freehold bungalow in Barker Road, situated diagonally opposite Anglo-Chinese School (Barker Road), reported The Business Times (BT).
The property was acquired by Lee Shih Kwei for S$43.2 million, which amounts to S$2,737 per square foot.
It joins a row of four adjacent freehold properties within Chancery Lane, all owned by Lee and his brother Lee Shih Hua.
Lee Shih Hua also recently bought two units at Seven Palms Sentosa Cove condominium for nearly S$23.9 million in total, or S$2,717 per square foot.
A ground-floor unit in that development was once sold for S$12.5 million in October 2025.
According to BT, the Lee brothers are likely to be paying 30 per cent additional buyer's stamp duty for their purchases, as per customary for Singaporeans buying their third residential property onwards.
They are the sons of Lee Seng Tee, the second son of Lee Kong Chian and former Lee Foundation chairman until his death in 2022.
