Ex-actor Ian Fang's PR status revoked, to be deported & banned from re-entering S'pore: ICA
He was jailed for having sex with an underage girl.
Former actor Ian Fang will be deported from Singapore and barred from re-entering once he is done serving his 40-month sentence for sexual offences.
Fang was sentenced in May 2025 after pleading guilty to three counts of sexually penetrating an underage girl.
Five other charges were taken into account during sentencing.
They included sexual penetration of an underage girl, harassment and obstructing the course of justice.
He began serving his sentence on Jun. 16, 2025.
PR status revoked
Singapore permanent residents, who have been convicted of an offence, will have their permanent residence (PR) status reviewed, a spokesman for the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority told Mothership.
Fang’s PR status was revoked on Feb. 5, and he will be deported and barred from re-entering Singapore.
Sex with underage girl
Fang was 34 when he and the victim met at an entertainment event in May 2024.
At the time of the offences, Fang was an acting teacher with a child modelling school with students aged four to 14.
Fang's identity was previously not revealed, but the prosecution applied to have his identity disclosed.
The judge approved the application and lifted the gag order.
He said he would respect the wishes of the victim and her family to reveal his identity.
