Investigations are ongoing.
A six-year-old girl has died after a car accident along South Bridge Road on Feb. 6, 2026.
The police were alerted to the accident at about 11:50am on that day involving a car and two female pedestrians, aged six and 31.
According to the police, they were conveyed conscious to the hospital, where the six-year-old subsequently passed away.
Police investigations are ongoing, and a 38-year-old female car driver is assisting with the investigations.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) further confirmed that two persons were conveyed to Singapore General Hospital.
Videos circulating online showed a man sitting on the road while holding an unconscious young girl, whose face was covered in blood, in his arms.
The man was heard crying and pleading for help to save his family.
Near him was the older female, lying unconscious on the road. She subsequently gained consciousness, though still looking visibly weak.
A pool of blood and a parked blue BYD car could be seen near the scene.
Passersby attempted to help, with one applying pressure to the young girl's face while others provided umbrellas to shield them from the heat.
