Thai influencer calls men who follow women who show off their bodies 'low class', gets backlash
Many men criticised her for overgeneralising.
A Thai influencer has deactivated her social media accounts after comments criticising men who follow women who post revealing content online sparked debate.
The influencer Gina, also known as Wonder JN had posted a video saying men who follow women displaying their bodies on Instagram may appear “low-class and lacking social maturity”, reported Bangkok Post.
She suggested such behaviour damages the men’s credibility and increases the likelihood of them being rejected by women with “standards”.
Clarified she was addressing men's public image
As criticism mounted, Gina disabled comments on her posts and reportedly sought to clarify that her remarks were meant to address men’s public image rather than police personal preferences or prohibit specific behaviour.
Some men agreed with her, saying that such behaviour online reflects one’s character.
However, many criticised the remarks as overgeneralising and being disrespectful towards men.
As the backlash intensified, online users began scrutinising Gina’s past content, with several claiming to have found her older posts making belittling remarks about men.
Both her Facebook page, which had about 175,000 followers, and her TikTok account appear to have been shut down.
