2 Filipino ex-beauty queens & actress accused of attacking driver over alleged 'sensitive' photos
One forced his hand inside her shirt and he had also been forced to drink his own urine by the women's bodyguards.
A personal driver has filed complaints for assault, torture and serious illegal detention before the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) against three Filipino celebrities, actress Rhian Ramos and former beauty queens Michelle Dee and Samantha Panlilio, following the dismissal of a theft case earlier filed against him.
The complainant, identified only by the alias “Totoy”, alleged that the incident took place on Jan. 17 inside a condominium unit on the 39th floor of a residential building in Makati City, after he was accused of stealing private or “sensitive” photographs.
The incident
Totoy claimed he was physically assaulted and tortured by the three women while two male bodyguards were present.
He said that alcohol was poured on his body and sprayed into his eyes, and that he was repeatedly beaten after denying possession of the “sensitive” photographs.
Totoy claimed that Dee also stripped him, before allegedly forcing his hand inside her shirt and compelling him to place his hand around her neck, according to The Inquirer.
"I asked her, 'Ma’am, what are we going to do?' She said, 'Let’s play.'"
He further alleged that the actress’s two bodyguards even forced him to drink his own urine.
The alleged abuse eventually drove him to attempt to escape by jumping from the 39th floor of the building.
"I jumped from the 39th floor but managed to hold onto a rope. I was brought back by condominium security."
The entire ordeal had also left him suicidal.
“Theft” of sensitive photographs
Following the alleged incident, Totoy was taken to the Makati Police Station and charged with qualified theft after Dee accused him of taking an angpao or envelope containing photographs with sensitive material from her room.
However, the Makati City Prosecutor’s Office later dismissed the case, ruling that there was no basis for his warrantless arrest. Totoy was released three days later, on Jan. 22, reported The Manila Times.
Celebrities deny allegations
In response, Dee and Ramos denied the allegations through their lawyer, Maggie Abraham-Garduque, who said her clients had not yet received a copy of the complaint at the time of reporting.
Abraham-Garduque denied the claims of illegal detention, saying Totoy was residing in the condominium as part of his employment as a driver.
The lawyer added that the last interaction between her clients and Totoy involved the filing of the theft complaint, which she said he had admitted to and partially resolved by returning some items.
Totoy, who is reportedly under the care of Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption (VACC), is now seeking justice through the NBI and has filed complaints against Dee, Ramos and Panlilioas as investigations continue.
