A tree fell on a car in Jalan Besar on Dec. 2, 2025 at around 12pm.
Photos of the incident at Lavender Street towards Beach Road were posted on SG Road Vigilante's Facebook page.
Tree on car
The car involved, a white Toyota Sienta, was seen at the right-most lane with a fallen tree resting on its roof.
The tree's leaves and branches were scattered on the road, which was wet.
Rain fell on most parts of Singapore on Tuesday morning and afternoon.
In response to Mothership's queries, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it did not receive a call for assistance regarding this incident.
Commenters who responded to the post praised the Toyota for being sturdy enough to withstand the impact of a fallen tree.
Angsana tree
In response to Mothership's queries, the National Parks Board's (NParks) director for streetscape Eric Ong said NParks "was alerted to a snapped tree branch incident involving an Angsana tree (Pterocarpus indicus) along Lavender Street at around 12pm on Dec. 2, 2025, during a period of heavy rain and strong gusty winds brought about by a Sumatra Squall."
He added that no injuries were reported and the obstruction was cleared at approximately 1pm.
