10-day police raids in & around Geylang: 13 men & 30 women aged 22-74, under investigation

A total of 13 men and 30 women, aged between 22 and 74, are being investigated for various offences, following a series of multi-agency enforcement operations conducted from Nov. 12 to 22, 2025 in and around Geylang.

The operations are part of the Singapore police and multi-agency efforts to clamp down on illegal activities in Geylang, which include illegal gambling, vice activities, illegal sales of health products, drug-related activities and illegal hawking.

The operations were led by the Bedok Police Division and supported by officers from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Traffic Police (TP), Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB), Health Sciences Authority (HSA), Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA), Singapore Customs (Customs), Land Transport Authority (LTA), and Singapore Food Agency (SFA).

As part of the operations, the Traffic Police (TP) also conducted anti drink-driving enforcement checks.

Drug-related activities in Geylang on Nov. 13

On Nov. 13, a joint operation involving CNB and officers from Bedok Police Division was conducted across six hotels in the vicinity of Geylang.

The operation resulted in the arrest of a 47-year-old man and two women, aged 29 and 46, for suspected drug-related offences.

Another 50-year-old man, with three active police gazettes, had attempted to evade the police and was eventually arrested for suspected drug-related offences.

Illegal online gambling activities along Ubi Road on Nov. 16

On Nov. 16, officers from Bedok Police Division and ICA conducted a joint operation against online gambling activities along Ubi Road.

Six men, aged between 38 and 63, were arrested for offences under the Gambling Control Act 2022.

Two other men, aged 65 and 74, are under investigation for gambling-related offences.

Cash amounting to S$4,454 and various gambling-related items were also seized.

Raids at public entertainment outlets on Nov. 21

Between Nov. 12 and 22, a series of operations led by the SPF against vice and secret societies-related activities were conducted in the vicinity of Geylang.

A total of 12 women, aged between 29 and 56, were arrested for their suspected involvement in vice-related activities under the Women’s Charter Act 1961.

In a joint operation led by Bedok Police Division, SCDF, ICA, and the Traffic Police on Nov. 21, officers raided a public entertainment outlet along Geylang Road.

A total of 15 women, aged between 22 and 37, were arrested for working without valid work passes.

A 41-yearold woman and a 39-year-old man were arrested for employing foreign workers without valid work passes, under the Employment of Foreign Manpower Act 1990.

The Traffic Police also conducted anti-drink driving checks in the area and issued road safety advisories to six vehicle owners.

Sale of unregistered health products and illegal drug-related activities between Nov. 18 & 20

Between Nov. 18 and 20, joint enforcement operations by Bedok Police Division, HSA, ICA, and CNB were conducted against the sale of unregistered health products and illegal drug-related activities in the Geylang area.

Cough syrup and sexual enhancement products valued at more than S$16,800 were seized.

Separately, two men, aged 26 and 35, were arrested for trafficking e-vaporisers and pods that were tested and confirmed to contain etomidate.

On Nov. 18, Singapore Customs conducted enforcement operations against duty-unpaid cigarettes in Geylang.

A total of 336 sticks of duty-unpaid cigarettes were seized.

Eight men, aged between 28 and 46, were issued composition sums under the Customs Act 1960.

Enforcement operations against illegally modified PMDs and PABs on Nov. 21

On Nov. 21, LTA conducted enforcement operations against illegally modified Personal Mobility Devices (PMDs) and Power-Assisted Bicycles (PABs).

Nine men and one woman, aged between 22 and 60, were issued with composition sums for violating the Active Mobility rules under the Active Mobility Act 2017.

One PMD was also impounded during the operations.
