A Grab delivery rider in Malaysia was taken by surprise when a customer gave him an unexpectedly huge tip of RM1,000 (S$316) for his order.

Muhamad Rafiuddin uploaded the encounter on his TikTok account on Dec. 15.

The video went viral, garnering two million views at the time of writing.

RM1,000 (S$316) tip after delivery

At the start of the clip, Rafiuddin was seen delivering an order through a window outside a landed property to a customer named Brandon.

After passing the order to Brandon, he paused to take a picture of the delivered item before walking back to his motorcycle.

The customer stopped Rafiuddin as he got on his bike, asking him to wait while he fetched a tip for him.

After waiting for a while, Brandon reappeared at the window.

"Here you go," he said, passing Rafiuddin a stack of cash.

"You sure? This is a lot," said Rafiuddin as he held the money.

Brandon simply said that he was "leaving tomorrow" and that he was "too lazy to change his money back".

Rafiuddin returned to his motorcycle, beaming as he unfolded the stack, revealing RM100 notes totalling RM1,000 (S$316) in tips.

In the caption, he wrote that it was the "biggest tip he had ever gotten while doing GrabFood deliveries".
