Chinese-themed wedding with milk tea
The couple reportedly had a festive Chinese-themed wedding.
Videos shared online showed the bride and groom in red and gold traditional Chinese wedding attire.
Each guest was given a cup of milk tea in a red and gold design, a nod to Zhang's background.
Employees of more than 7,000 stores across China also reportedly received candy gift boxes as wedding favors.
Some stores apparently launched a campaign to give out candies to customers, allowing employees and customers to share in the joy.
According to media reports about Zhang, he was born into poverty and was orphaned at 10.
He started working at a milk tea store at 17 and learned how to read and write.
He worked up the ranks and started Chagee in 2017.
