Man, 68, dies after alleged stabbing in Marine Parade condo, man, 23, arrested
Investigations are ongoing.
A 68-year-old man in Singapore died following an alleged stabbing incident in Marine Parade on Nov. 13.
In response to Mothership's queries, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) confirmed that officers were alerted to the scene at 5000C Marine Parade Road at around 12:45pm.
The location is the address of Laguna Park condo.
Man arrested, penknives seized
Officers who arrived at the scene found the 68-year-old man, who was injured.
A 23-year-old man was arrested for allegedly voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons.
Police seized two penknives as case exhibits.
According to Stomp, the 13th floor of the condo was later cordoned off.
Police officers were also reportedly seen stationed on the 12th and 14th floors, while two police vehicles were spotted in the car park below.
Several residents later reported that they heard "muffled" shouting at around 2:45pm.
They said the condo is normally quiet, and there had not been any neighbourly disputes prior to the incident.
68-year-old man died in hospital
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) told Mothership that they received a call for assistance at around 1:10pm.
The 68-year-old man was taken to Changi General Hospital, where he subsequently passed away.
Police investigations are ongoing.
