Update at 3pm: The man has been charged in court. He indicated that he would be pleading guilty.

The man, who grabbed Ariana Grande at the Singapore premiere of "Wicked: For Good" on Nov. 13, is slated to be charged in court on Nov. 14.

Jumped barrier

In videos that have gone viral globally, the man, Johnson Wen, an Australian, could be seen jumping over the barrier and running to put his arms around Grande at the yellow carpet held at Resorts World Sentosa.

The singer was visibly shocked before Wen was intercepted by co-star Cynthia Erivo and security personnel quickly.

Serial event crasher

It appeared this was not the first time Wen has done such a thing, as online sleuths later identified him as a serial event crasher, who goes by @pyjamamann on Instagram.

He previously disrupted events, including Katy Perry’s Sydney concert, The Weeknd’s Melbourne show, and also at the men’s 100m final at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

He describes himself in his social media bio as the “2023 World Cup Final Pitch Invader” and “Troll Most Hated”.

On the day of the yellow carpet on Nov. 13, Wen had posted on his Instagram stories declaring that he has "finally met Ariana Grande", as well as another post with the caption, "I'm free after being arrested".

The Straits Times reported that it was told by a source that Wen was arrested following his intrusion in Singapore.

Charged with public nuisance

Mothership understands that Wen is to be charged in court on Nov. 14 for public nuisance.

His name appeared in the Integrated Case Management System (ICMS) and was scheduled to appear at the State Courts at 8:45am.

For committing an act of public nuisance, knowing that this act would cause annoyance to the public, he can be jailed for up to three months, fined up to S$2,000, or both.

He could be deported and barred from entering Singapore.
