M'sia teen, 15, gifts younger brother an iPhone & dies on his birthday a few hours later
Final act of love.
In a TikTok video that has touched hearts across Malaysia, a 15-year-old boy battling bone cancer spent his final days thinking not of himself, but of his younger brother.
Muhammad Zafran Hadi gifted his younger brother Aidil Haziq his dream iPhone, only to pass away the next day right on Aidil’s birthday.
The final gift
@zfrn_had18Video ni hari khamis lepas 16/10 Esok 21/10 Hari lahir Aidil haziq, satu-satunya adik lelaki Zafran. Abang sayang Aidil… sangat-sangat. ❤️♬ original sound - zfrn_had18
In the video, Zafran is seen surprising his brother with a gift that he knew the younger sibling had always wanted: a brand new iPhone.
Overcome with emotion, Aidil broke down in tears, embracing his brother in what would become one of their final moments together.

A message dedicated to Aidil in the TikTok caption reads:
“After mama and papa, Aidil is the one who keeps me company and cares for me the most.
You’re there when I need to sleep… when I want to play football… play games… there for everything.
This year, I really wanted to give you a new phone as a token of love for being a brother who is never stingy, who is always there for me.
Happy birthday, Aidil Haziq. Thank you for always being a strong, loving and loyal brother. Abang loves you so, so much.”
Just hours later, at around 1:45 am, Zafran passed away, right on the day of his younger brother’s birthday.
Even though the teen who once loved football dearly had to have his leg amputated, he still persisted with courage and is always seen smiling in his photos on social media.
