HarbourFront Centre to close after mid-2026, to be redeveloped into 33-storey building
Will reopen in 2031.
HarbourFront Centre will close in the second half of 2026 for redevelopment.
It will become a 33-storey mixed-use development featuring office and retail spaces and an elevated park that stretches towards the waterfront.
Redevelopment is expected to be completed in the first half of 2031.
33-storey development
Mapletree Investments detailed the redevelopment plan in a press release on Oct. 28.
The new 123,000 sqm, 33-storey "flagship commercial project" will complement the development of the "Greater Southern Waterfront", Mapletree announced.
Of the 33 floors, a total of 25 floors, from levels eight to 33, will be office spaces.
Five floors, from basement two to level 3, will offer "engaging spaces for an experiential visit", Mapletree wrote.
The office tower will feature an exclusive lobby with high ceilings and "bespoke finishes".

The building will boast a verdant facade, with greenery stretching from the office tower down to a 13,000 sqm elevated park.
Located adjacent to a newly created stretch of waterfront promenade, tenants and visitors can look forward to sunset views of the Singapore Strait, as well as waterfront walks and activities, Mapletree added.
Tenants and visitors will also get 360° panoramic views of the sea in the south, and the Southern Ridges, as well as the city in the north, it added.
Ample bicycle parking will be made available to promote sustainable and green commuting.
Other sustainable elements, such as the use of solar panels, sustainable water management practices, smart lighting system and electronic vehicle charging stations will also be included.
Once completed, the new development will support about 100,000 existing homes in Bukit Merah, Queenstown and Sentosa, as well as 10,000 homes in upcoming residential estates, such as at Berlayar.
Cruise and ferry operations will shift to a new interim terminal adjacent to the current HarbourFront Centre from the second half of 2026.
HarbourFront Centre opened in 1978 as the World Trade Centre.
It was renovated and reopened in 2003, when it became Harbourfront Centre.
