21 non-compliant e-bikes & other mobility devices impounded in S'pore in 1 month
The two key offences were using PABs with improper registration plates and riding or keeping non-compliant devices.
A total of 21 non-compliant devices were impounded in September 2025 following various enforcement operations islandwide in Singapore, the Land Transport Authority said in a Facebook post on Oct. 16.
This was after a total of 44 active mobility offences were detected.
Photos shared by LTA showed the enforcement actions took place in Sengkang and Jalan Besar, among other locations.
The devices featured in the photos are power-assisted bicycles (PABs) and three-wheeled scooters that could be personal mobility aids (PMAs).
One rider on a three-wheeled device was seen on the road.
In Singapore, PMAs are to be used on the pedestrian-only paths, cycling paths, shared paths and footpaths.
Some of the devices were equipped with thermal bags used for food delivery, including one device that had its registration plate obscured.
LTA noted that the two key offences were using PABs with improper registration plates and riding or keeping non-compliant devices.
