Catch them all.
A total of 10 vehicles providing illegal cross-border and illegal point-to-point rides were impounded on Oct. 2 in operations conducted across Singapore.
Senior Minister of State for Transport Sun Xueling provided this update in a Oct. 3 social media post.
The enforcement action was the latest in the recent clampdown on illegal operators.
Since July 2025, the authorities in Singapore have impounded 102 vehicles providing illegal cross border and point-to-point services, Sun added.
"The drivers do not have the requisite licenses and do not have insurance coverage for passengers," she wrote.
She also thanked the National Private Hire Vehicles Association (NPHVA) and Taxi Kaki Singapore Facebook page, which is an umbrella grouping that includes the National Trade Union Congress (NYUC), as well as the National Taxi Association (NTA) and NPHVA, for raising awareness of the issue.
Sun also highlighted that two taxi companies in Singapore, ComfortDelGro and Strides Premier, have announced their own cross-border taxi services to Johor Bahru, which stops at a fixed location.
Singapore taxis have to head to the Larkin Sentral Terminal in Johor Bahru.
Malaysia taxis have to head to Ban San Street Terminal in Rochor.
The recent clampdown in Singapore has led to Malaysian drivers banding together to issue their own statement highlighting their displeasure.
