Cambodian man, 41, scolds air stewardess & pours water on M'sian airline staff, fined S$275
Charged.
A Cambodian tour guide found himself in hot water after footage of him pouring water on an Batik airline security officer at Kuala Lumpur International Airport went viral.
The incident happened on Sep. 28 after the guide, 41-year-old Lin Weida, had also used abusive words against a Batik Air cabin crew member during a flight from Hong Kong to Kuala Lumpur.
Lin was charged for both these incidents.
Lin represented himself in court.
According to Harian Metro, he was fined RM900 (S$275).
For a charge of criminal intimidation against the airport security office, Lin could have been fined RM1,000 (S$306), jailed for three months, or both.
