Johor boy, 9, allegedly slashes younger brother, 6, on the neck after losing Roblox game progress

A nine-year-old boy in Johor, Malaysia allegedly slashed his six-year-old brother on the neck after he lost his progress in the online game Roblox.
Johor police chief Abdul Rahaman Arsad said that the incident occurred at the Parit Raja town in Batu Pahat in the wee hours of Oct. 27 after the older boy reportedly experienced hallucinations, reported New Straits Times (NST).
According to Free Malaysia Today (FMT), their mother later found his younger brother with a wound to the neck at around 5:30am.

While the nine-year-old boy's motive has yet to be determined, the police said that he had been playing Roblox excessively on his mobile phone and had reportedly amassed nearly one million points in the game.
He later lost the game's progress after his younger brother reportedly damaged his phone by accident.
The boy said during preliminary police investigations that he had started hallucinating that night and were told to harm his family members, reported NST.
He later attacked his younger brother with a knife.
Their mother found the younger boy bleeding from the neck after waking up, and reported the incident at 9am.
Police confirmed that investigations are ongoing to verify his statement.
Parents remanded, boys under care of social welfare services
According to FMT, the six-year-old boy was sent to the Sultanah Nora Ismail Hospital for treatment and is currently in stable condition.
Police said that his statement has not been recorded as he is still recovering.
The boys' parents, both aged 41, were remanded to assist with investigations for suspected child neglect.
The Malaysia Social Welfare Department are currently supervising the two children.
