Fireworks set off in Farrer Park area, resident tracks down used fireworks box left at field, police investigating
Sparked some curiosity.
Investigations are ongoing after fireworks were seen being set off over the Farrer Park area on Oct. 18 night.
A resident from The Merlot condominium said they saw the fireworks from the direction of Cambridge Road at around 10:15pm.
He said he spoke to the police, and later saw officers speaking to a group of people near an adjacent condo.
In response to Mothership's queries, the police confirmed that a report was lodged.
Investigations are ongoing, they added.
The resident also took a video, where the sounds of fireworks going off could be heard.
He said he believes that multiple people alerted the police about the fireworks display.

The resident subsequently went down to an open field near Cambridge Road the next day on Oct. 19 and found a used firework packaging on the field.
He said he called the police again and officers arrived to collect the box for investigation.
Under the Dangerous Fireworks Act, discharging dangerous fireworks is an offence punishable by up to two years in jail, a fine of between S$2,000 and S$10,000, or both.
